Hi, I just ran across this post on lkml: http://www.ussg.iu.edu/hypermail/linux/kernel/0305.3/1538.html I'm curious what will happen now. Will IBM pull out, update the BIOS and make an apology or will they make excuses of the kind "but we do it for our customers: To give them a better-working, fully tested platform!" This is a scary trend, if it isn't something like "Oh, but there is an option in the BIOS to disable this".
